P. Myura Prasanna Perera, Senior Superintendent of Police, currently serves as the Director of the Expressway Police and brings with him a distinguished and unblemished 35-year career in the Sri Lanka Police. Over the years, he has held various key positions within the Police service, showcasing his dedication and leadership.
He completed his secondary education at Nalanda College, Colombo, and received professional training at the Sri Lanka Police College and the National Police Academy. He further enhanced his expertise by earning a Diploma in Criminology from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In addition, he has participated in advanced training programs with prestigious institutions such as the Louisiana State Police (USA), École National de Police de Saint-Malo (France), and the Border Risk Assessment Center (BRAC) through the International Organization for Migration (IOM).Since 2020, Mr. Perera has been an active executive committee member of the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers And Riders (SLARDAR). He also serves as the Secretary of Sri Lanka Police Motor Sports, contributing significantly to the promotion of motorsports within the Police service.
