Entry Requirements
- All competitors must be current members of World Powerlifting and must present a valid membership card or ID at the weigh-in and apparel check.
- Competitors must be selected by their national federation or approved by WP as an individual entry.
- Each lifter may have up to two coaches, and both must be accredited WP members who attend the weigh-in with the lifter.
- Final entries must be submitted before 6th November 2025, along with full payment of the competition entry fee.

Attractions
Sigiriya
Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of granite approximately 180 m high.
Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura is a major historical city located in the north central plain of Sri Lanka. The 8 sacred places in Anuradhapura, known as the Atamasthana, are the locations where the Buddha visited during his trips to the island and are sacred sites for Buddhists. These include the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Lovamahapaya, Abhayagiri Dagaba, Jetavanarama, Mirisaveti Stupa, and Lankarama.
Polonnaruwa
Poḷonnaruwa, also referred as Pulathisipura and Vijayarajapura in ancient times, is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. The modern town of Polonnaruwa is also known as New Town, and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa.
Down South – Unawatuna
Unawatuna is a town in southern Sri Lanka. It’s known for its coral reef and its palm-lined beaches, like Unawatuna Beach. Nestled in nearby jungle, the Japanese Peace Pagoda has a stupa with ocean views. The Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery south of town protects endangered species. North across the bay is the city of Galle’s fortified old town, founded by the Portuguese and expanded by the Dutch in the 17th century.
Pinnawala
Pinnawala is a village in Kegalle District of Sri Lanka and is around 90 km from the capital, Colombo. It is well known for its elephant orphanage.
Kandy
Known as a pilgrimage destination for the Temple of the Tooth Relic (a sacred tooth of the Buddha), a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kandy is a sacred city, due to the importance and spiritual significance of this temple.
