Maj Gen KNS Kotuwegoda ndc IG MSc. mgmt retired from the Sri Lanka army in December 2021 after an illustrious military career of 36 years. Holding appointments of gravity such as Divisional commander of the 55 Division, Security Forces Commander Kilinochchi, Colonel Commandant Regiment of Sri Lanka Army, Commandant Sri Lanka Volunteer Forces, and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Sri Lanka Army. He also took an interest in sports and extracurricular activities by being the president of the Sri Lanka Army badminton association.
Gen Kotuwegoda has also graduated from military training in foreign countries such as India,
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Japan and the USA.
World Powerlifting Lanka isn’t only a sports association, it is a quest and a goal of creating successors of Sri Lankan champions who will bring honor to their Motherland.
